Dunedin Gives Fenway Hotel Redevelopement Approval

The developer plans to complete a period restoration on 48,694 square feet to resurrect its 1920s grandeur and two new wings featuring 1920s’ design motifs. Fenway on the Bay was a popular resort from 1924 to the late 1950s. Later it was home to Trinity College and most recently Schiller International University. As part of the agreement the 5.2-acre property on Bayshore Boulevard in Dunedin will be designated a single-site historic overlay district.

When completed the renovated hotel will include: 132 rooms, restaurant, ballroom, meeting space, spa and retail shops. The development agreement calls for the construction of a 6-foot decorative masonry wall noise buffer prior to the start of the renovation work and an off site parking lot will handle employee and overflow parking.
